Is your healthy baby at risk for pneumococcal disease?

Researchers are studying an investigational vaccine that may protect against pneumococcal disease. Pneumococcal disease is caused by a type of bacteria that is a major cause of infections in the ears, sinuses, blood, lungs, or brain.

Your baby may qualify for this study if he or she is 42-90 days old when beginning the study and:

  • Is healthy based on medical history and a physical exam
  • Has not received a dose of any pneumococcal vaccine
  • Has a parent or legal guardian who agrees the study doctor or staff may be in contact while his or her child is in the study

Type 2 Diabetes

You may be eligible to participate in this clinical study if you are:

  • Taking metformin alone or metformin with a DPP-4 inhibitor (e.g. Januvia, Sitagliptin, Trajenta, Janumet, or Jentadueto)

Chronic Cough

You may be eligible to participate in this clinical study if you are:

  • Are at least 18 years old
  • Have chronic cough for more than one year with a diagnosis for unexplained or refractory chronic cough
  • Are currently a non-smoker
  • Are not pregnant and are willing to use contraceptives to prevent pregnancy during the study
